We use only Douglas Fir Timbers in our rig mats which is stronger than Hem Fir, or Spruce. This results in a stronger overall bending strength than competitors mats.

Husky Energy
British Petroleum teamed up with Husky Energy to excavate in excess of 10.6 billion barrels of bitumen in 2008. BP’s first ever oil sands project in the Canadian Oil Sands of Fort McMurray was an intensive job requiring 2,900 rig mats and over 600 access mats.
Sterling Lumber was the sole supplier of Steel Framed Interlocking Rig Mats and fulfilled the needs of the project in 6 months.
