Pepper Construction Company and Harrah’s Entertainment
dreamed of constructing the largest floating facility in the United States. Six barges were joined together to create the 350,000 square foot foundation for the casino and convention center. Sterling Lumber provided 1,761 crane mats to protect the foundation decking. The mats were constructed and sourced in less than 12 weeks. Over 170 truckloads were scheduled for delivery in the span of just 8 business days to minimize the personnel and equipment costs of unloading.
