The Army Corps of Engineers consulted with Sterling Lumber Company regarding a barge deck.  Sterling ultimately earned the job through competitive options. By using a combination of new 12" Dense Hardwood Mats, along with good condition Used 12" Matting, the customer protected the barge and saved money at the same time.
